Kilt Hose/Stocaidh

ILT HOSE ARE THE TRADITIONAL SOCKS WHICH accompany Highland Dress. Coming up just below the knee (three fingers' width) and folded down once or twice, there are many styles and colours to choose from. The most common variety of kilt hose are the plain or self-coloured hose. In general, bold colours such as tartan green and navy go well with Modern tartans, lovat green and lovat blue go well with Ancient colours, and black, ecru (off-white), charcoal, and dark natural go with everything.

The range featured below are proudly manufactured in Hawick, Scotland by the House of Cheviot. As you will see, they are available in an astonishing array of colours and styles and can be paired with coordinating garters (see Garter Ties). These hose are knitted in a 3-ply merino wool and acrylic blend. They also feature a fully reinforced foot and are machine washable at 40° C.

Prices are in Canadian funds. Canadian residents must pay GST (5%). Ontario residents must pay PST (8%). All kilt hose are made in the United Kingdom.

Glenmore

The Glenmore range of kilt hose offer the best value overall. The cuff is woven in a mock cable design and they are available in 6 stock colours (Ancient Blue, Ancient Green, Black, Blue Lovat, Charcoal, and Ecru). There is also an embroidered style available (Ecru only) with your choice of Saltire, Thistle, or Rampant Lion.

Argyll Cuff
