HILE LADIES MAY NOT HAVE THE myriad of accessories required to complete a Highland outfit as their male counterparts, they do have many items which go very well with other styles of dress. Below you will find a large assortment of serapes, and sashes.

The serapes, in particular, I make available in almost every weight and tartan range, which I don't think many other Highland wear establishment offer. Most offer only light and perhaps medium weight tartans. I personally think a wide range is much more versatile. After all, an 18 oz. Regimental weight serape could prove quite useful on a blustery November day!

Ladies Sash, Short

Made in Scotland, these sashes measure 57" x 9½" (145 cm x 24 cm) and are available in Standard (Plain) or Flora style (centre pleated). The ends are fringed and the sides are sewn. The short sash is available in Lochcarron's 10 oz. Reiver and 13 oz. Braeriach tartan ranges. These fabrics are 100% Scottish worsted wool. Incidentally, these sashes also make an excellent long sash for young girls.

Ladies' Rosette Sash

These sashes measure 26" x 5" (66 cm x 13 cm) and feature a large rosette. The ends are fringed and the sides are sewn. The rosette sash is available in Lochcarron's 10 oz. Reiver and 13 oz. Braeriach tartan ranges. These fabrics are 100% Scottish worsted wool, and the sash itself is sewn in Scotland. These sashes add a touch of Highland elegance to any outfit, be it traditional styled as pictured below, or a more contempory ensemble.

Ladies Long Sash (Lochcarron)

These sashes measure 90" x 11" (228 cm x 28 cm) and are fringed on each end with sewn sides. The 10 oz. Reiver is available in Standard (Plain) or Flora style (centre pleated). These sashes are very traditional but also go very well with more contemporary wear. The long sash is made from either 10 oz. Reiver or 13 oz. Braeriach tartan. These fabrics are 100% Scottish worsted wool and the sash is sewn in Scotland.

Ladies' Long Sash (Strathmore)

Photobucket These sashes measure 90" x 11" (228 cm x 28 cm) and feature fringed ends and sewn sides. They are made from Strathmore Woollen Company's 11.5 oz. T7 lightweight tartan range. This sash is made in Scotland using 100% Scottish worsted wool.

Ladies' Long Sash (House of Edgar)

These sashes measure 90" x 10½" (228 cm x 27 cm) and feature fringed ends and sewn sides. They are available in your choice of Standard (Plain) or Rosette style. They are made from the House of Edgar's 13 oz. Mediumweight range which includes a large number of tartans such as the famous Irish County series. These sashes are made in Scotland using 100% Scottish worsted wool.

Serape

This luxurious fringed wrap measures approximately 2 metres x 1.5 metres (79" x 59") and is available in a wide variety of tartans and fabric weights to suit any weather or occasion. These serapes are hand-crafted by myself using 100% Scottish, English or Irish tartans, solids, and tweeds.
