These doublets are reserved for formal occasions and parades. They are based on the military doublets worn by the members of the Highland regiments of the British Army. Made from 19 oz. barathea wool and decorated with Scottish and Russian braid, these doublets feature thistle buttons and shoulder shells.
This jacket was designed by pipers and drummers to their requirements. The standard piper jacket is tailored in top quality 15 oz. black barathea 100% wool. Features include a chain link button front, single button cuffs, and three inside pockets. One designed to carry drumsticks, one for a glengarry, and a standard carry pocket. These feather bonnets are made in Canada and are available in either four tail or five tail style. There are several dicing options available on feather bonnets, but the stock bonnet has red and white dicing. Dicing options available: a) red/white/black; b) red/white/navy; c) black/white; d) green/white. These bonnets range in size from 6 7/8 to 8. For other bonnet styles click here.
These hose are made from 70% wool and 30% stretch nylon. The turn-over section is referred to as a "bobble" or "popcorn" top. It is integrated as an extended turn-over which can be adjusted to meet individual length requirements. The cross-stitch section expands almost 12 inches (depending on size), which allows the wearer to turn over three times to produce a roll at the top of the sock of 4 inches bulked out, or to turn over only twice to give a longer look with less bulk. These belts are made in the United Kingdom and are 2.5" (6.4 cm) in width. They are available in either black or white patent leather. Please specify natural waist size (i.e where you should wear your kilt) when ordering.
The Piper's Plaid is worn wrapped across the chest and fastened together at the shoulder with a brooch. These traditional piper's plaids are hand-made in the United Kingdom by three major mills (Lochcarron of Scotland, the House of Edgar, and Strathmore Woollen Company) and range in length from three to four yards. They feature crisp, even pleating, impeccable stitch work, and hand-purled ends.
