The Formal (or Black Tie) Outfit is the Highland equivalent to the tuxedo.
It is suitable for many events such as a evening wedding, a Burns Nicht, or any other affair where a black tie is requested.
One could also wear this outfit with a white pique shirt, bowtie, and waistcoat. This would certainly qualify as 'white tie' attire in most circles.
