Tam O'Shanter (Traditional)

Tam O'Shanter Page

The traditional blue bonnet (or blae bunnet) is often referred to as the Tam O'Shanter, the eponymous character of the classic Robert Burns poem.

While a medium or navy blue is often considered to be the most traditional colour, our Tam O'Shanter is available in a much wider range of colours. The main body of the hat may be made in Black, Bottle Green, Navy, Pale Grey, Mid Grey, or Oat woollen cloth. The toorie (or 'pom') may be made from Black, Bottle Green, Navy, Red, or Tan yarn. Black, Navy, or Bottle Green ribbons may also be used.
