Knife-Pleated Kilt (Deluxe)

This is the most typical kilt to be found today and remains the most popular choice.

Knife-Pleated Deluxe Kilt

This is true whether one searches online or in a Scottish shop. Indeed, most often, this will be all you would find available. It is often referred to as the "traditional" kilt by most people (including many kilt makers), though this is not technically true.

Constructed from approximately eight to nine yards of fabric, this kilt can be pleated to the stripe or to the sett (maintaining the tartan pattern). It has the weight and "swish" that many associate with a kilt, and is a must if you are a piper.

The Knife-Pleated Deluxe Kilt contains, on average, 20-30 pleats.

Mediumweight (13 oz. Cloth) - $879.ºº CAD

Heavyweight (16 oz. Cloth) - $790.ºº CAD

Regimental (18 oz. Cloth) - $879.ºº CAD

All kilts ship with a garment bag, hanger, and fabric swatch/badge backer.

All prices in Canadian funds.

All kilts come with a lifetime warranty. Any repairs (i.e. not alterations) will be done free of charge (excluding shipping) for as long as you own the kilt.

Measuring Guide

Kilt Measuring Guide

IMPORTANT: It is preferable to have someone else take these measurements rather than yourself.

1. Natural waist. This is NOT your trouser size! For most people, this is the indent at your side just above the navel. This measurement should be fairly snug.

2. Hips. Measure the widest part of your hips. This can be loosely done over clothing.

3. Length of the kilt. Measure from your natural waist to the top of your knee-cap. Keep your back straight and don't look down. Add two inches to this result.
